JobKeeper Reporting

Reminder For Monthly Reporting

Required: 

  • Each month by the 14th  
  • Actual turnover for August
  • Estimated turnover for September
  • Confirm employees still eligible

Monthly reporting is required to receive Jobkeeper payments. 

This will be $1,500 for each of the three fortnights, totalling $4,500 in August per employee or business participant, dependent on your eligibility.

Reporting turnover DOES NOT affect your eligibility.

Reminder – Certain employees that met the eligibility requirements between 1 March and 1 July can now enter into the JobKeeper Program from the 3rd of August

What must I do?

  • Determine if your registration is on a cash or accruals (invoiced) method.
  • Ensure that turnover for August is recorded completely for your registration method. 
  • Review quotes, business conditions, expected billings to estimate turnover for September. 
  • Confirm staff that were registered remain eligible and employed. 
  • Confirm that eligible staff have been paid at least $1,500/fortnight on time.
  • Provide the information to Hartmann-Cox, or 
  • Report directly at https://bp.ato.gov.au/.   
Payments will not occur until reporting has been completed. We recommend organising turnover records early  to prevent delays.  The ATO may send out their own reminder shortly.

JobKeeper Extension

Nothing changes until October; everyone remains eligible until the end of September 
To be eligible for continuing payments past September there are now two eligibility periods.
December 2020 Quarter – $1,200 per fortnight for full time (over 20hrs) employees and business participants and $750 per fortnight for all other eligible people.

Basic Test – Measure your GST Turnover for the September 2020 quarter and compare to September 2019 and you must be 30% or more down.

Alternate Tests – If you are not eligible under the basic test, the ATO have outlined seven alternate methods of assessment.  We can help with this next month.
