There are a few good online providers now on the market.  The have excellent advantages over traditional accounting software.  Data security, software updates and backups are the responsibility of the software provider rather than yourself.  Your Accountant has real-time access to your file and is able to make changes to the same file that you are working from. 

Popular ones to consider are:

Saasu - Aust based with Payroll.

MYOB - Aust based with payroll.

Xero - NZ based and but payroll is an add-on.
